Spotlight on Colour: Blush, Taupe, Ivory and Stone

Spotlight on Colour: Blush, Taupe, Ivory and Stone

Welcome blog readers for 2018. So nice to see you switch away from Insta and Facebook and return to the comfort of a good ole' blog post.

I know you've all heard about Pantone's colour of the year being Ultra Violet, but before I truly immerse myself in all things purple, I wanted to keep my devout blush-crushers happy with this refreshed palette...

Blush refuses to go anywhere quickly and quite frankly, why should it? With it's perfectly 'not too pretty' hint of skin-pink, Blush is a colour we will continue to see throughout fashion and decor in our 2018 weddings. However, instead of pairing with grey or white, we are projecting a more raw, untouched feeling of blush with taupe, ivory and stone. Think linen textures and feather touches, neutral cosmetic inspired shades, ivory lace and pearl / marble detailing.

Keep your fashion and blooms blush, your linen ivory or dove grey and scatter those complimentary raw tones throughout your tableware, soft furnishings and stationery. Rose Gold is STILL our winning foil print colour.

In stationery, we'll see a massive pairing back, virtually non-existent graphics. It's all about the typography. Fonts, type, bold letters, upper case, lower case, bleeding off the edge and lots of character filled styles to portray your theme. Minimalist is huge. Let the type literally do the talking.

New styles now being uploaded to the store daily, starting with this newbie. Say welcome to 'First Comes Love'.

Enjoy this beautiful Summer we are having and if you are freshly engaged, congratulations. You've come to the right place. x
