the brief
FROM THE BRIDE:
"Our colour scheme for styling is FULL RAINBOW with silver mirror balls + mirrored plinths so I'm wanting to keep the stationery very minimal in a black + white vibe [especially for the Save The Dates + Invitations - almost to throw people off the scent].
Tim + I are BIG gig go-ers [one massive reason we chose The Timber Yard as our venue] so we are loving a really bold look, like the attached gig posters..."

The INSPIRATION
Inspired by iconic vintage gig posters, this stationery style is bold, expressive and entirely typography-driven. Oversized condensed type, dramatic scale shifts and layered editorial layouts turn every word into a graphic element. Information is intentionally arranged with energy rather than symmetry, creating a sense of movement across the page. Minimal, monochrome and unapologetically modern, the typography becomes the hero of every piece.
The artwork
This collection brings the vintage gig poster aesthetic to life through a refined, monochrome stationery suite where typography takes centre stage. Every piece is built around bold condensed type, oversized headlines and editorial compositions that transform wedding details into striking graphic elements. The restrained black-and-white palette and minimalist layouts create a cohesive system that feels modern, confident and unmistakably inspired by iconic concert posters. Rather than decorating the stationery, the typography itself becomes the artwork, giving every sign, menu and printed piece a bold sense of personality.
The Result
The monochrome stationery acts as a bold visual anchor amongst the explosion of colour, allowing every printed piece to stand confidently without competing for attention.
