Ordering

How does your pricing work? The first main price you see is the cost of the minimum purchase. In most cases this is 40 quantity. So for example, 40 digital print invitations ( with blank white envelopes) starts from . If you select your quantity from the quantity drop-down, you will see this total changes in line with the quantity you order. The higher the quantity, the less per unit you will pay.

Does your pricing include envelopes?  No. You will need to add an envelope of your colour choice can add options such as printed guest addresses or embossing to that envelope also.

When ordering envelopes with your invitations or save the date cards, these will be sent packaged in an invitation bundle and an envelope bundle ready. We will not assemble the cards into the envelopes. This is to avoid all unnecessary handling of your stationery and to ensure your cards come pristine and flat in perfect condition.

How many invitations should I order?  This is possibly the most common mistake that couple's make when ordering their stationery. Trust us when we say you will ALWAYS need more invitations than you think. We suggest to order at least 10-20 invitations more than what is on your invite list. You may want to invite a few extra guests as you get closer to the wedding as some people can't make it. Any spares that don't get used can always be a keepsake. It is very costly to order only a few at a later date, you will be charged for the minimum quantity of 40 again ( even if you only require a couple more) so you are best to order a good amount of spare at the very beginning.

Should I order all of my stationery at once?  This process is usually spread out over a period of months. For Save the Date cards, we suggest you order these first as soon as you have set the date for your wedding and have locked in your venue. It doesn't matter how far in advance your wedding is. Communicating your date to your guests is key to a happy and well balanced dance floor!

Do you have a minimum quantity order?  Yes we do. The minimum order quantity stated for each item is the most economical amount to start printing from. All of our pricing is based around the minimum quantity stated for each product, therefore if you require less than this, the price per item will increase to whatever that minimum is so it's covered.

Can I order a printed version of my invitation before I approve the final proof?  We do not offer this as part of a standard order due to the cost involved with set-up fees of every single file being sent to our printers. Our sample packs are very detailed and will give you all the information you need on card stocks and colours to make a well informed decision on your stationery.

Do you offer discount packages for a large order?  If you order from our 'Invitation Packages' and / or 'Signage Packages' you will benefit from heavily discounted pricing. We have set these up to reward you for ordering multiple items. It's definitely the best way to order to save you money and also time, as we have put together our most popular combinations of design, colours and card stocks ready for you to simply add to cart.

Print Colours and Card Stocks

Can I pick my own colours for any of your designs?  All of our designs can be tailored around your colourscheme to suit your wedding perfectly. If you can't find the design and colour you like together, please contact us and we can discuss the best colours to use for your theme for any particular design. Our suggestions in our examples are showcasing our colour stories which are carefully curated groups of colours based around the trend colours for the coming event season.

FOR PRINTED COLOURS, PLEASE NOTE: The colours shown in our samples are a guide to the shades we have available. Due to the variable nature of the digital printing process these colours do shift between each print run, therefore an identical match to any sample may not be achieved. Plus, any colour you view online will look slightly different to a hard copy sample due to the way all of our screen monitors are set-up to view colour.

PLEASE NOTE FOR SIGNAGE: All signage is printed on white board, where we print your colours as a background over the white base. This means that any colour can be achieved, even lighter print colours. When printing on card stock, we can only print on the available card stocks the manufacturer has available. This means white ink print can only be printed on darker card colours with best contrast. We do not print colour as a background for card stock items.

What type of card do you use for printing?  We offer a huge variety of card stocks in different colours, textures and thicknesses. We strongly encourage you to order a sample pack so you can see and feel all the stocks and make your informed decision.

Customising Designs 

Can I change the font of one of your designs? All of our invitations have been designed with fonts that work well with the style of design and graphic details. If you would like to use another one of our fonts, please let us know what font you like from our other designs and we will let you know if it's a suitable substitute.

Can you print double-sided Yes we can but it is at an additional cost which you can add when you order online. 

I love the State of Elliott style but have a special idea in mind that I want you to bring to life. How do I get my custom design wedding stationery started? Easy. You send us any information on the venue and style of wedding, colour theme, items required and quantity, pinterest collections, instagram finds etc... in an email and we will contact you with with some different cost options. You will pay an agreed custom design fee and then the cost of printing your invitations is on top of that. You can select one of our standard layout shapes or we can talk about creating a custom design shape for you. 

Timing and Delivery

How long will it take for my stationery to arrive once I place my order? Once your order is placed and paid for in full, please allow 2 business days for your artwork proof to be emailed to you. Once you are happy with the artwork you will send back an approval email allowing us to go to print. The process then, depending on the size of your order, takes up to 3 weeks for delivery to your door for digital and white ink print orders. For foil and letterpress orders, please allow 5 weeks from artwork approval until delivery. All products are delivered via standard Australia Post which requires a signature on delivery. In peak periods, we sometimes have to extend our print lead time up to 6 weeks from artwork approval to delivery.

Please ensure you order your stationery at least 6-8 weeks prior to when you wish to mail-out your invitations to avoid disappointment.

Help! I need my wedding stationery like... YESTERDAY! Can you please rush my order through? We can put a rush order through but there is an additional fee of 35% of your total added to your order.

You will then receive your stationery within 7 business days of approving your proof. Foil and letterpress orders can not be placed on rush order I'm afraid. 

If you require a rush order, please email us and we will provide you with an invoice that reflects the 35% increase and we will then be able to get started on your artwork ASAP.

Is your stationery professionally designed and printed? Yes. The State of Elliott head designer Sarah has an honors degree in Design. She has a natural flair with colour, typography and pattern as well as a strong interest in trend-forecasting across graphic/textile/ interior design, fashion and lifestyle trends.

We have spent years searching for the very best printers in Australia. We have sampled extensively with new technologies, stocks and colours and believe we now have the strongest collection of on-trend wedding stationery in the country, if not the world. Any State of Elliott piece is of the highest quality in both design and finish.

Do you have a showroom I can visit?  Yes we do! We have a beautiful showroom in Cheltenham which is in the Bayside area of Melbourne. You can read more of our location here.

Can I get my money back if I need to cancel my order?  We are a service based business and custom make everything to order. As soon as your order is placed, we start to work on your design, therefore we do not offer refunds. Please choose carefully when placing your order. If you decide to change the design to another new design from our range once you have seen your proof, meaning we need to create a new artwork proof, we will charge a re-design fee of $50 which is payable prior to starting work on the 2nd option.

Where is State of Elliott based? Can I order if I live Overseas? State of Elliott is based in Melbourne, Australia. Yes, anyone in the world can order our products, in fact - we ship internationally every week.  All prices are in Australian dollars.
